If are helping "Beta Test" you should report bugs and feel free to ask questions about the program's commands, it is best to email me at tempnulbox (at) yahoo (dot) com and put "DANCAD3D (tm) 24x7 SUPPORT SUBMISSION" in the email subject line so your mail is not deleted as junk. See Section: 8 for more information about support related issues. I want you to ask questions so long as they are on the subject and relate to the current program's commands. If you do not get some kind of reply assume I did not get your message and resend it and also try voice mail, postal form, etc. All submissions and correspondence become the sole property of Daniel H. Hudgins to do with as he sees fit, so stay on subject.

This Section.

Be sure to "un-zip" the download before using any of the files! Be sure to scan and check any downloaded files for viruses, other corruption, and or defects.

Steps to download and "Beta Test" the Utility Files:

  1. Read all the legal stuff in SECTION: 0 and all of text in all of this section.

  2. Click on the download link to the *.ZIP file below if you have read, agree with, and you agree to be legally bound by the current "On-Line" End User License Agreement, Disclaimer, warnings and other legal text in SECTION: 0 and also the text, restrictions, directives, and warnings in this section.

  3. Select "save to disk" and make sure the extension is *.ZIP.

  4. If the download has the wrong extension rename it *.ZIP.

  5. Un-zip the utility file(s) (and any other files) into the CAD and CAM program's directory. If the *.ZIP file was saved into your "My Download Files" (\MYDOWN~1\) directory (folder) you will probably need to move or "cut" and "paste" it into the directory you will be using it in.

  6. Scan and check the programs and other "un-zipped" files for viruses, download errors, and other problems.

  7. Back-up your harddisk(s) before using, running, or "Beta Testing" any of my utility or other programs.

  8. Enter the name of the Utility *.EXE or *.COM file at the DOS prompt.

  9. Read any screens that come up from the utility and follow instructions. Read the README.TXT file that probably came with the utilities for information about their use.

  10. If you want to, use the [W]rite command to write or edit batch files that use the utility programs.

This section is a place in this Web site where internal links to files might be placed so that you can try to download the files for testing. Various file types may from time to time be made available for an indeterminate period of time and then become unavailable. File types such as: Beta test versions of executable program files, documentation files for proofreading, example data or macro files for testing of the programs and for the testing of the data files themselves, various utility and or batch files, media files, and perhaps some other file types such as these might be made available from time to time so that you might be able to help the author test, proofread, and de-bug the files and programs. Please do not ask about files or programs that you do not see here as being currently available.

I, the Author, cannot, and do not, warranty files downloaded, or copied, from this Web site, i.e. HTML document and associated files, to be free of computer virus infection, defect, error, fault, corruption, alteration, or contamination with any kind or form of destructive entities and or contaminants. Do not download, copy, use, or retain, any files from this Web site (HTML document) if you cannot accept them "as is" and with no warranty of any kind express, expressed, or implied.

All files available for download from, that are part of, or are associated with, this Web site are: Beta-test, experimental, posted for proofreading, posted for finding and reporting of any bug they might contain, or are for use in testing other Beta-test, experimental, and or developmental programs, and therefore may not function properly, and or the use of any of the files or programs downloaded, copied, or used may result in the loss of data, or other damage or loss, may also result in physical and or other types of injury, and therefore might also result in someone's death. You must backup your harddisk before attempting to download, copy, view, or use any files associated with or available for download from this Web site (HTML document) in order to safeguard your data, programs, OS, and other files.

Some restrictions are placed on how, and by whom, files may be downloaded, and or copied, from this Web site, i.e. HTML document and associated files, and how, and by whom, those files may be used, copied, catalogued, viewed, edited, distributed, archived, shared, incorporated in derivative works, rented, loaned, sold, retained, transmitted, possessed, applied, employed, exploited, operated, run, treated, dealt with, taken, and or otherwise utilized. Violation of the letter, and or intent, of the restrictions included in, or implied by, the End User License Agreement ("EULA"), and other text, in SECTION: 0, and or the violation of various copyright and other applicable laws, might result in your being subjected to prosecution and or your being subjected to other penalties.

This DANCINES.ZIP file holds a utility program and a *.TXT file that has some information about how the utility programs might be used while "Beta Testing" my other programs. The name of this *.ZIP file is a contraction of "DAN-CINE- Scanner v1.xx" which signifies that this DANCINES.ZIP (tm) file is for "Beta Testing" with DANCAD3D.EXE (tm) and some of my other programs.

The appearance of the version of this utility in the *.ZIP file may look somewhat different, or display different text messages, so be sure to look at the actual program in the *.ZIP file you downloaded or copied.

See also SECTION: 3.85.0.0 for information relating to this "Beta Test" Utility program.

Download.

DANCINES.ZIP is only for use with my CAD and CAM programs. You can try to use the [W]rite command in the CAD programs to write DOS batch files that use some of the Utility programs.

After you download the file(s) you will need to "un-zip" (extract) the file(s) with an un-zip program into the correct sub- directory, in the case of the Utility Program Files, all the files usually go into the same sub-directory DANCAD3D.COM (tm), DANCAM.EXE (tm), and DANPLOT.EXE (tm) are installed into.

Always check any files you download to see if they are infected with a computer virus, or have some other problem. You should download the file twice, sending each copy of the *.ZIP file to a different sub-directory so you can use the DOS command FC to compare both copies to see if they are the same, if one is different (does not compare OK) you probably have a corrupted download, and you will need to download both copies again!

EXAMPLE: C:\DOS\FC C:\TEMP1\SOMEFILE.ZIP C:\TEMP2\SOMEFILE.ZIP

Using the DOS FC command to compare two downloads of the same file will not insure that the files are not infected with a computer virus, and or that the files downloaded are not corrupted, truncated, defective, or compromised. Using FC may give a indication that the files downloaded need to be downloaded again, but will not indicate that the files are free of defect.

In addition to checking the *.ZIP file for computer virus infection, corruption, truncation, or other problems, you should also check all the un-zipped files as well. You are responsible for choosing the means that you feel are best for you to use in checking downloaded files, safeguarding your computer, and protecting yourself and your property.

Before you download any files from this Web site, or copy or download any files from this HTML document and associated files stored on, or transmitted from, a disk or other storage device or materiel, you must read all of the text in SECTION: 0 and in particular the Disclaimer, and End User License Agreement ("EULA"). If you do not agree with, or are disallowed use of these files by, the Terms and Conditions, Disclaimer, End User License Agreement ("EULA"), or other text in SECTION: 0 you must not download, copy, open, retain, or use any file associated with this Web site and or HTML document.

By clicking on DANCINES.ZIP to download it I, the person downloading or copying the file(s), acknowledge my acceptance of, and agree to be legally bound by, all text in SECTION: 0, and in particular the Disclaimers and End User License Agreement ("EULA"). By downloading or copying the file(s) I, the person downloading or copying the file(s), further acknowledge and confirm that I and I alone shall bear any and all costs and expenses associated with any circumstance or occurrence resulting from downloading or copying the file(s). If I, the person downloading or copying, or otherwise accessing, the file(s), cannot be compelled, because of laws or any other causes, to bear all costs and expenses associated with any circumstance or occurrence resulting or arising from downloading, copying, "Beta Testing," or using the file(s), including but not limited to all costs and expenses from claims by any third or other party, I the person about to download the file(s) understand that I am forbidden permission to download the file(s) and must not download, open, copy, retain, transmit, archive, use, test, "Beta Test," or view the file(s).
