Quick discussion of idea: DANCAM.EXE (tm), DANPLOT.EXE, and some of my Utility programs can operate automatically from a DOS batch file. Repetitive tasks can be written out in a batch file, *.BAT, by using the [W]rite command in DANCAD3D.COM (tm). The batch files can be run entering the name of the batch file at the DOS prompt. Some of the utility programs can be used in batch files to manipulate the tool path files used with the CAM programs, and otherwise organize repetitive tasks. Look for a README.TXT file in the *.ZIP file for some information about operation of the utility programs.
Steps to "Beta Test" Utility Program files:
Un-zip the Utility program(s) and any associated files into the current program directory you are using for my programs.
Scan the un-ziped files for virus infection, download errors, and other problems.
Back-up your harddisk(s) before you try to use or test any of the Utility programs.
Read any README.TXT file included in the *.ZIP file for information about the accompanying Utility programs.
Enter the name of the *.EXE or *.COM file you want to use at the DOS prompt in into a DOS batch file. Be sure to test your batch files with a "dry-run" without your automated machine actually running to make sure that everything is working as it should before you try to actually do anything.
Use the [W]rite command to view and modify your batch files for your own personal use in "Beta Testing" the Utility programs.
Detailed discussion of idea: In this download section there may be some Utility Program files. You might try to use the description of the utility programs that might be in the README.TXT file with the programs in the *.ZIP file to get some information about the utility programs. Some of the utility programs might be usable in the batch files. If you write or edit batch files be sure that you leave a space between all commands and their parameters used on the DOS command line associated with my utility programs. Since the utility programs may be revised from time to time you should check back to make sure that you are testing the latest version. Always check the programs for virus infection and download errors before using them. Always back up your harddisk before using or "Beta Testing" any of my programs.
