If are helping "Beta Test" you should report bugs and feel free to ask questions about the program's commands, it is best to email me at tempnulbox (at) yahoo (dot) com and put "DANCAD3D (tm) 24x7 SUPPORT SUBMISSION" in the email subject line so your mail is not deleted as junk. See Section: 8 for more information about support related issues. I want you to ask questions so long as they are on the subject and relate to the current program's commands. If you do not get some kind of reply assume I did not get your message and resend it and also try voice mail, postal form, etc. All submissions and correspondence become the sole property of Daniel H. Hudgins to do with as he sees fit, so stay on subject.

Just clicking on the browser's [Reload] or [Refresh] icon may not be enough to insure that all of the page's most current contents have been cached and displayed. Some browsers may have additional commands to help display the page's most current contents such as: holding down the [Shift] key and clicking on the [Reload] icon, holding down the [Control] key and clicking on the [Refresh] icon, holding down the [Control] and [Shift] keys and clicking on the [Refresh] icon, pressing the [Control] and [F5] keys, pressing [Control] and the [R] key, or some other combination of keys or clicks. Check to see which commands your HTML browser uses to load the most current page contents into its cache and then to display them onto the screen.

This Web site is dedicated to the thousands of "users" of my programs, those who have helped test my programs over the last 22 or so years, and especially those who shared their experiences with me.

Information and files in "This Web Site" (HTML document and associated files) have been placed here so that long time users of "The Author's" programs DANCAD3D.COM (tm) , DANCAM.EXE (tm) , or DANPLOT.EXE (tm) could help proofread the text of the documentation files or screens displayed, and also help test data files, example files, and or any software programs that might be made available from time to time, to aid "The Author" in finding mistakes, bugs, and other errors, omissions, defects, mistakes, and faults. This Section.

Please read all of SECTION: 8.0.0.0 as well as all of this sub-section and the "EULA" in SECTION: 0 before you try to contact me. Subjects that do not correspond to the topic of one of the current "Correspondence Forms" do not generally fall under "support" at this time, and should not be submitted to me at this time.

The guidelines in this sub-section relating to correspondence are preliminary and may undergo revision, or other changes, so you should check the current "On-Line" version of this sub-section before trying to correspond with me, "The Author" of "This Web Site." If the "On-Line" version of "This Web Site" (HTML document) is unavailable for some reason, it would be best for you to wait until it is available again. All guidelines, statements, procedures, and specifications are subject to change or discontinuation without notice. All support for "The Author's Creations" may become unavailable at any time.

Over the years I have probably answered thousands of letters. From my long experience of answering all of these letters I am developing some procedures to reduce extraneous Correspondence and streamline the support process. To make it easier for you to help streamline your correspondence I ask that you follow the guidelines regarding correspondence, rather than composing a letter or e-mail that might omit some information I might desire, or contain extraneous material that I might not desire. I appreciate your cooperation in helping me to streamline my support efforts, thank-you.

How to submit via live Instant Message chat.

I have been experimenting with offering support through Instant Messaging. To help "Beta Testers" know when I am On- Line to IM chat about issues I have placed a special IM status thumbnail at the top of each page in this Web site. The IM status thumbnail will indicate if I am On-Line or Off-Line for IM chat support and what IM program to use to connect, since I may be using one or the other IM program at that moment. When this page was last revised I was using AOL AIM (tm) for IM at screen name: DANCAD3D.

As far as I can tell AOL AIM lets almost anyone sign up for free access to their IM services. They also seem to have free software you can download to use their IM services. Third party programs also seem to be available for using the AIM to chat by way of IM. So you might be able to use your current provider with these IM services. "Beta Testers" will be IMing me personally through my personal IM, so please read Section: 8 before you contact me, and follow the support rules. I reserve the right to deny IM support based on my experience with a particular IM id, or for any other reason.

One problem with the IM status thumbnail at the top of each page in this Web site idea is that Web browsers cache images, so you may get mixed up as to when I am On-Line or Off- Line because you did not get your browser to refresh all of the graphics used in the page you are viewing, or I have logged on or off after you loaded the page you are viewing. To view the current status of the IM status thumbnail you will probably need to manually instruct your browser to fully reload the Web page graphics at the time you want to check the status. Unfortunately not all browsers use the same commands to fully refresh the display of a HTML page, so you will need to learn what commands you use for your browser. Just clicking on the browser's [Reload] or [Refresh] icon may not be enough to insure that all of the page's most current contents have been displayed. Check to see which commands your HTML browser uses to display the most current page contents.

I will not be On-Line as much as I have been for a while, but if "Beta Testers" start using the IM enough I might try to adjust that situation. You will just need to check again and again to see if we are both On-line at the same time. You can e-mail, or leave a v-mail submission, 24/7 when I am Off-Line with IM.

When you might be communicating with me via instant messaging you may be in contact with me personally through my personal IM, and so I ask that you do not reproduce or publish my IM contact information. The IM screen name that you may try to contact me through may change, so check to see what screen name I am using here just before you try to connect.

When using AOL AIM (tm) you can open the AIM program and try to send me a message, if I am not On-Line the AIM application may say something about me being unavailable.

One of the problems with Bug Reports people send in is that the description of the location of the bug and the circumstances that cause the bug to be expressed is frequently inadequate for me to be able to reproduce the bug on my computer. If I cannot see the bug happen on my computer, it can be almost impossible for me to find the bug or try to do anything about it.

The idea I had for this "Live instant message chat" is that you can talk me through the program's menus telling me what to type in. In this way I can ask you questions while I am trying to look for the bug, which should improve the odds that I can find it. If I cannot get the bug to emerge, that might indicate that the bug might be more particularly related to your hardware setup or something else.

If you do not already have an AIM account you might need to go to the AIM Web site and open an account with them. I think I saw something that I think said the IM systems icq and AIM now offer compatibility, but you may need the latest versions of their programs to cross connect, you can check their Web sites for information on how to send messages from icq to AIM or the other way around. As far as I know you do not need to be an AOL user to use their AIM system, and the AIM account seems to be free.

I may check your instant messaging personal information page before I grant you permission to communicate, if you have not filled in some of your personal information I might deny your request to communicate.

Please restrict your support communication to the three subjects of Bug Reports, Questions for the FAQ, and Wish List Suggestions. If you go off the subject you may be disconnected and blocked from future communication.

You must be an active "Beta Tester" and have agreed to abide by the Terms and Conditions stated in the current On-Line "EULA". If you are not an active "Beta Tester" please do not try to communicate with me about support or this Web site in this way.

This live instant message support and submission is an experiment and may be discontinued at any time without notice.

You can try to send me Instant Messages directly from your computer, mobile phone, or hand held device using an instant messaging application program. If you do not want to use the IM application on your computer you might try a Web based IM application, see the AIM Web site for more information on their applications.

Please start your IM connection session by stating that you are an active "Beta Tester", that you agree to be legally bound by all of the terms and conditions of the current "EULA", and state that you understand that your comments may be reproduced in the FAQ or used in other ways. If you do not start with these statements you may be told to read the instructions at this Web site, and then be disconnected.

By submitting via instant message you thereby grant that any information you submit shall become the sole property of Daniel H. Hudgins to do with as he wishes in perpetuity without compensation to you of any kind. You agree not to submit any information that you wish to have be kept: secure, confidential, private, or rights to. This submission mode is governed by, and should only be used in accord with, the current Terms of Use and "EULA" license in Section: 0 of this www.DANCAD3D.com (sm) Web site. Do not submit about matters relating to this Web site via this submission mode if you are not currently an active "Beta Tester".

By following my stated operational parameters you can help make this experiment a better experience for both of us.

My current instant message addresses for this IM test are shown in the black and blue image below. Please to not reproduce my instant message contact information in any newsgroups or anywhere else. Since the instant message addresses to use may change, be sure to use the [Reload] or [Refresh] feature of your browser to load the current image file with the current screen name in it. Check for my current selection of instant message addresses just before connecting since the screen name to use may change at any time.

P0835030.JPG (default resolution) Image file of icq/aim address for submissions.

For matters that require looking into matters, the reply to your question might just be placed in the FAQ, so check there if you do not hear back from me. If you do not hear back from me, or do not see a reply in the FAQ that might indicate that I did not get your message. I may keep a log of your messages, so assume that everything you say is being recorded, therefore in the act of contacting me you are granting me permission to record your comments and reproduce them as I see fit. I hope this new support option might someday help make submitting submissions work to better effect, thank you for helping to explore this new option.
