This Web site is dedicated to the thousands of "users" of my programs, those who have helped test my programs over the last 23 or so years, and especially those who shared their experiences with me.
You must read this notice: This is a licensed Web site (HTML document and associated files). You must read and agree to be legally bound in contract by the Terms of Use and conditions given in the End User License Agreement ("EULA"), Legal Notices, Instructions, Warnings, Disclaimers, and all other text in "SECTION: 0" of "This Web Site" (HTML document and associated files) before reading or using any of the information, software programs, and or files, contained in, linked to, and or associated with, "This Web Site" (HTML document and associated files). Any use or "Beta Testing" of "This Web Site" constitutes your acknowledgment of your full agreement with the current End User License Agreement ("EULA") and your decision to have this current license supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements and understandings. Information and files in "This Web Site" (HTML document and associated files) have been placed here so that long time users of "The Author's" programs DANCAD3D.COM (tm) , DANCAD87.EXE (tm), DANCINEL.EXE (tm), DANCINES.EXE (tm) , DANCAM.EXE (tm) , or DANPLOT.EXE (tm) could help proofread the text of the documentation files or screens displayed, and also help test data files, example files, and or any software programs that might be made available from time to time, to aid "The Author" in finding mistakes, bugs, and other errors, omissions, defects, mistakes, and faults. Everything in "This Web Site" (HTML document and associated files) is "Beta Test", "Beta Code", Experimental, Preliminary, requires proofreading, or is being evaluated for possible revision, and is NOT warranted to be free of defect. To help "The Author" report any bugs, foul-ups, defects, or mistakes that you find, see "SECTION: 8" for instructions. "This Web Site" (HTML document and associated files) and all other files and programs by Daniel H. Hudgins are made available "AS IS" without warranty of any kind express, expressed, or implied. All offers and specifications are subject to change or discontinuation without notice of any kind. Please look over "SECTION: 8" of "This Web Site" before contacting "The Author."
If you wish to speak to me about my programs or this Web site it is best to e-mail me at the current e-mail address given on the e-mail address page in SECTION: 8.30.0.0.
Please read all of SECTION: 8.0.0.0 as well as this sub- section and the current "EULA" before you try to mail me anything. Do not mail me postage stamps, coupon-reponse, return postage, money, enclosures, or anything other than one of my "Correspondence Forms", linked to below, completely filled in by careful printing or typing (except for your signature). There are "Correspondence Forms" for you to submit a possible "Question for the FAQ", to file a "Bug Report", or to submit a "Wish List Suggestion." Subjects that do not correspond to one of the "Correspondence Forms" currently available do not generally fall under "support" currently.
The guidelines in this sub-section relating to correspondence are preliminary and may undergo revision, or other changes, so you should check the current "On-Line" version of this section before mailing the "Correspondence Forms". If the "On-Line" version of "This Web Site" (HTML document) is unavailable for some reason, it would be best for you to wait until it is available again. All guidelines, statements, procedures, and specifications are subject to change or discontinuation without notice. All support for "The Author's Creations" may become unavailable at any time.
Over the years, I have probably answered thousands of letters. From my long experience of answering all of these letters I am developing some procedures to reduce extraneous Correspondence and streamline the support process. To make it easier for you to help streamline your correspondence I ask that you only use the "Correspondence Forms" linked to below for postal correspondence, rather than composing a letter that might omit some information I might desire, or contain extraneous material that I might not desire. Be sure to follow the guidelines and instructions for including the right "FORM ID CODE" code numbers above my name when you address your submission to me, or your submission may just get returned or put in a "dead letter" accumulation. Always include a return address on the outside of your submission you send to me for your home address that you will sign for registered mail at. Do not use an envelope to mail the forms, rather follow the instructions given below. I appreciate your cooperation in helping me to streamline my support efforts, thank-you.
I prefer that you e-mail me now rather than send things by way of the postal system.
The "photograph" above shows six superimposed step numbers that correspond to the numbered paragraphs in the "Six Steps for preparing the "Correspondence Forms" for mailing" below. Please follow these guidelines when preparing your completed "Correspondence Forms" for mailing. My address is shown above but for the most part you should not be writing to me if you are not already "Beta Testing" my programs, where to find my address in DANCAD3D.COM (tm) is mentioned below. The FORM ID CODE shown in the "photograph" is only for the purpose of illustration, you would need to use the actual code from the current form that you download and print out.
Information about how to print out the "Correspondence Forms," and other matters relating to them, is given in the text below the "Six Steps for preparing the "Correspondence Forms" for mailing" below.
Six Steps for preparing the "Correspondence Forms" for mailing:
After printing and completing the "Correspondence Forms" as described below in the overview, fold the "Correspondence Form" in half with the side that has the writing inside. Fold the "Correspondence Form" again, so that there are now four thicknesses of paper, and the height is 3.5 inches. Do not fold more than one sheet together, each "Correspondence Form" needs to be prepared individually. You need to use 8 1/2 by 14 inch "legal size" paper to print out the form on since the minimum height for mailing is 3 1/2 inches which is what you get after folding the form.
Position the folded form so that the folded edge is at the top and the "open" end is at the bottom. Place a one inch diameter "Mailing Seal" with its center about 1.5 inches from the left bottom side corner of the "Correspondence Form" oriented so that the perforated line across the "Mailing Seal" is aligned to the bottom open edge of the "Correspondence Form," and wraps around to the back side of the folded "Correspondence Form." "Mailing Seals" should be available from stationary supply stores, they are a "permanent" adhesive type one inch circle of white fiber or clear material that have a perforated line across the center that aligns with the edge of the article being sealed for mailing. Suitable "Mailing Seals" might be Avery (R) brand part number 05247 or the equivalent. Do not use tape or staples.
Place another one inch diameter "Mailing Seal" with its center about 1.5 inches from the right bottom side corner of the "Correspondence Form" oriented so that the perforated line across the "Mailing Seal" is aligned to the bottom open edge of the "correspondence form," and wraps around to the back side of the folded "Correspondence Form." "Mailing Seals" should be available from stationary supply stores they are a "permanent" adhesive type one inch circle of white fiber or clear material that have a perforated line across the center that aligns with the edge of the article being mailed. Suitable "Mailing Seals" might be Avery (R) brand part number 05247 or the equivalent. Do not use tape or staples. Do not place additional seals, staples, or tape on the other edges.
Type or neatly print your return home street address in the upper left corner. This should be an address that you will sign for registered mail to you at. Make sure that your return address is readable and you include your full name.
Type or neatly print the FORM ID CODE from the "Correspondence Form" you are submitting above my name when you address the "Correspondence Form" to me. It is important that you do this so that I can know if you have used the current forms, and to separate current submissions from mail that includes out-of-date forms. Put U.S.A. at the bottom of my address if you are submitting the "Correspondence Form" from outside the U.S.A.
Affix proper postage for mailing the submission from your location to my location. Always check with postal authorities to make sure things you are mailing conform to applicable postal regulations and practices.
I thank you for volunteering your time to help me possibly improve my creations by submitting your findings with regard to your "Beta Testing" of them. I consider it a complement that you would think enough of my projects to contribute in this way. Be sure to remember to print the forms on 8.5 by 14 inch "legal" size paper and not smaller size paper, you will be folding the print out and mailing it without an envelope which makes using the right size paper important.
Rather than have you draft your own letter I ask you to print out one or more of these "Correspondence Forms", fill in the form(s) completely, sign and date the form(s), and use that (those) form(s) in place of the letter that you would have sent to me. I appreciate your cooperation in helping to streamline my support tasks, through the exclusive use of these "Correspondence Forms" for all postal correspondence. Please read all of the information above and below before you start to fill out any of these forms.
These "Correspondence Forms" might be used by you to submit your Questions, Bug Reports, or Wish List Suggestions for possible consideration for incorporation into, and or perhaps possible public display in, one or more of my (Daniel H. Hudgins) creations which might include the FAQ section of "This Web Site" www.DANCAD3D.com (sm) and any other of my works including but not limited to derivative or associated works. Any of your questions, bug reports, wishes, suggestions, submissions, writings, and or correspondence that you submit may be incorporated into some CD-ROM, *.ZIP file, product, program, document, derivative work, or other creation authored or organized by Daniel H. Hudgins. To indicate, declare, and acknowledge your agreement regarding the many possible uses that your submission may be put to fill in the blanks of the transfer of copyright and other portions of the form(s) completely and sign and date the form(s) in ink to thereby acknowledge your full legally binding agreement.
Do not mail anything to me that you will ever want to be returned to you. Do not mail anything that you would not want me to reproduce in a public forum either in original form or in an edited and altered form either with or without attribution. Anything mailed or submitted to me (Daniel H. Hudgins) becomes my property in all respects and rights, and may be retained, used, sold, exploited, altered, or destroyed at my discretion. You may wish to retain appropriate legal counsel at your own expense for advice regarding your obligations prior to entering into any legal agreements or contracts.
Overview of the submission of "Correspondence Forms:"
If you are eager and qualified, agree to volunteer to become a "Beta Tester" and abide by the current End User License Agreement ("EULA") in SECTION: 0, and then start your duties as a "Beta Tester." Do not submit questions if you are not already "Beta Testing" my programs since only "Beta Testers" should submit questions.
Decide which form(s) you wish to submit to me, i.e. use file QUESTION.TXT for submitting a question for possible inclusion in the FAQ or other work, use file BUGS.TXT to report a bug, mistake, or other fault, or use file WISHLIST.TXT to submit a suggestion that I can use as I like.
At your own expense, purchase 8.5 by 14 inch "legal" size paper for your printer. Set up your printer and printer drivers to use the full 87 line length of the "legal" size paper. Select a fixed pitch font that will print up to 80 monospaced characters on each line of text. While you are at the stationary store you should also pick up, at your own expense, some "Mailing Seals" of the type Avery (R) item number 05247 or the equivalent since you will need these to prepare the forms for mailing, see the "six steps" and the photo above.
Click on the link below to the *.TXT file you want to print and use the [Print] feature in your HTML browser, or use the COPY command at the DOS prompt to print the file after you download the *.TXT file to your hard drive disk. See the print instructions below. The form(s) are only to be printed out on 8.5 by 14 inch "legal" size paper in 80 monospaced fixed pitch characters wide by up to 87 lines of text high.
After you have the form(s) printed out you need to fill in all of the blanks on the form(s) completely in ink and sign and date the form(s) in ink to further acknowledge your agreement with the Transfer of Copyright and other legal terms and conditions stated on the form and in SECTION: 0. By submitting one of the forms you are acknowledging that you are giving me unlimited permission to use and or reproduce your submission in any way that I ("The Author" of "This Web Site") might wish to, such as incorporating your ideas into "This Web Site," my programs documentation, my other creations, or in making changes to my programs. You will not be compensated monetarily or otherwise for making any sort of submission or suggestion. Use a separate copy of the form for each Question, Bug Report, or Wish List Suggestion and fill in all of the blanks on each form completely.
Do not use an envelope, or enclose or attach, stamps, return postage, confidential information, or money with the "Correspondence Form(s)." Do not use out of date copies of the "Correspondence Form(s)," mail the "Correspondence Form(s)" within 30 days of downloading the current "Correspondence Form(s)" from the current "On- Line" version of "This Web Site."
When you address your submission and mail the form(s) to me, place the FORM ID CODE from the top of each of the form(s) above my name "Daniel H. Hudgins" on the outside of the front of the folded form prepared as described above. Print or type your full name and home residence return address on the outside of the folded form as well. My mailing address shown above, (i.e. Daniel H. Hudgins) should also be at the bottom of the current revision of DANCAD3D (tm)'s main menu. If you do not address your submission properly, and include the current FORM ID CODE, the form may get returned to you, or end up in a "dead letter" bundle unopened.
You can click your mouse button while the screen cursor is on one of these internal "Links" to try to download *.TXT versions of the "Correspondence Forms," so you might print the form(s) out on 8.5 by 14 inch paper and fully fill in all of the blanks for your personal information and subject matter by printing in ink or by typing, sign and date the form(s) in ink, and then prepare and mail the form(s) to me at my postal address as described above.
Links to *.TXT file versions of the "Correspondence Forms:"
Click here to download QUESTION.TXT the "Questions for the FAQ" Correspondence Form.
Click here to download BUGS.TXT the "Bug Report" Correspondence Form.
Click here to download WISHLIST.TXT the "Wish List Suggestion" Correspondence Form.
Correspondence Form ORDER.TXT is not available in this compile, check "On-Line" version.
If when you click, on the internal links immediately above, the text of the *.TXT file loads into your HTML browser's screen, try to use something like the "Files" and "Save as" commands, or the equivalent, to save the text file of the "Correspondence Form" to your hard disk drive as a *.TXT file. You may need to select *.TXT as the filetype to use when saving the file, from a list of available file types that your browser can save files as. You may need to use the "Browse" feature of the filename prompt of your HTML browser's "Save As" command to select the disk drive letter and directory that you want to save the *.TXT file of the "Correspondence Form" into.
If you download the form as a *.TXT file, you may be able to use the DOS command COPY to copy the file to your printer. If you are using a serial printer you may need to use the DOS MODE command before you try to print the file of the "Correspondence Form" out.
EXAMPLE: C>COPY C:\TEMP\BUGS.TXT PRN
With some printers you may need to press the [Form-Feed] button on the printer, the button may be labeled something else, in order for the page to be printed and come out of the printer after you copy the file to your printer. Under some operating systems there may be a delay of a minute or more before the data all gets to the printer, so wait a while before you try to force the page to come out of the printer.
You may also be able to print out the *.TXT file by using the "Print" command in your HTML Browser.
Although it might be unlikely that a simple *.TXT file could get infected with a computer virus, you should scan any files downloaded for computer virus infection, or some other form of malevolent corruption. I disclaim all responsibility and or liability for any computer virus infection or other problem with my files that you might download.
Do not print out the forms so as to span more than one page or piece of paper, and be sure to put your address, signature, and date in ink on each form that you print, and to initial any changes or corrections in your submission. If your submission is longer than the space on the form, use more than one form, complete each of the forms completely including your personal information, agreement date, and signature, and then number the forms according to the instructions on the forms so I can try to figure out what order the forms are to go in. Each form should be folded and addressed as described above and mailed separately without using an envelope.
When you address your submission to send the form to me be sure to indicate the "FORM ID CODE" on the first line of my address above my name. The "FORM ID CODE" is located near the top of the "Correspondence Form" in the *.TXT file. If you do not indicate the current proper "FORM ID CODE" code on your submission, your submission may be returned to you unopened, placed in a dead letter accumulation, or disposed of, since absence of the current "FORM ID CODE" would indicate that you are not using the current version of one of the "Correspondence Forms." If you use more than one "Correspondence Form" indicate each of the relevant "FORM ID CODE"s above my name in my address when you address the submissions.
If you do not see a "Correspondence Form" for the subject of your Correspondence you might make a suggestion for the creation of such a form using the "Wish List Suggestion" form, and then check back later to see if I might have added any new forms here.
