To view or use the current version of this Web page you may need to reload or refresh the display of this page by your browser. Just clicking on the browser's [Reload] or [Refresh] icon may not be enough to insure that all of the page's most current contents have been cached and displayed. Some browsers may have additional commands to help display the page's most current contents such as: holding down the [Shift] key and clicking on the [Reload] icon, holding down the [Control] key and clicking on the [Refresh] icon, holding down the [Control] and [Shift] keys and clicking on the [Refresh] icon, pressing the [Control] and [F5] keys, pressing [Control] and the [R] key, or some other combination of keys or clicks. Check to see which commands your HTML browser uses to load the most current page contents into its cache and then to display them onto the screen.
This Web site is dedicated to the thousands of "users" of my programs, those who have helped test my programs over the last 22 or so years, and especially those who shared their experiences with me.
You must read this notice: This is a licensed Web site (HTML document and associated files). You must read and agree to be legally bound in contract by the Terms of Use and conditions given in the End User License Agreement ("EULA"), Legal Notices, Instructions, Warnings, Disclaimers, and all other text in "SECTION: 0" of "This Web Site" (HTML document and associated files) before reading or using any of the information, software programs, and or files, contained in, linked to, and or associated with, "This Web Site" (HTML document and associated files). Any use or "Beta Testing" of "This Web Site" constitutes your acknowledgment of your full agreement with the current End User License Agreement ("EULA") and your decision to have this current license supersede all prior and contemporaneous agreements and understandings. Information and files in "This Web Site" (HTML document and associated files) have been placed here so that long time users of "The Author's" programs DANCAD3D.COM (tm) , DANCAM.EXE (tm) , or DANPLOT.EXE (tm) could help proofread the text of the documentation files or screens displayed, and also help test data files, example files, and or any software programs that might be made available from time to time, to aid "The Author" in finding mistakes, bugs, and other errors, omissions, defects, mistakes, and faults. Everything in "This Web Site" (HTML document and associated files) is "Beta Test", "Beta Code", Experimental, Preliminary, requires proofreading, or is being evaluated for possible revision, and is NOT warranted to be free of defect. To help "The Author" report any bugs, foul-ups, defects, or mistakes that you find, see "SECTION: 8" for instructions. "This Web Site" (HTML document and associated files) and all other files and programs by Daniel H. Hudgins are made available "AS IS" without warranty of any kind express, expressed, or implied. All offers and specifications are subject to change or discontinuation without notice of any kind. Please read "SECTION: 8" of "This Web Site" (HTML document and associated files) before trying to contact "The Author."
SECTION: 1 has some "general" information about my CAD and CAM programs, information about this Web site (HTML document), and "news" relating to the aforementioned. See also the program files in your distribution of my programs and the other parts of this HTML documentation (Web site) for information more specifically about how my programs operate and their commands.
Rather than have users write to me asking about the current Newsletter, or to ask me "what are you..." and "when are you..." questions, I will try to post a HTML edition of The DANCAD3D.COM (tm) Newsletter here, so that users can try to check this section of the "Beta Test" Web site, at any time while the site is operating, to see if some newer edition of the Newsletter has been posted. This "On-line" Newsletter has in essence replaced the paper mail out versions. If you are viewing this newsletter from a CD-ROM edition of this Web site, or such, check the "On-Line" version for current information.
THE DANCAD3D (tm) NEWSLETTER: RELEASE CODE NL.WEB.Y2008.M04.D18.R0
Thank you for your interest in the programs. I always consider it to be a complement when someone like yourself takes an interest in my programs and Web site.
If you are not already familiar with my programs I would suggest that you should probably watch all of the streaming video segments in SECTION: 4 before you get more deeply into the recesses of this Web site, so that you will have a general understanding of the sorts of things my programs do and how they might operate. An overview of automation and metalworking is given in SECTION: 7 to help you in familiarizing yourself with some of the vocabulary and concepts used in the other sections that directly discuss the commands in my programs.
The primary goals for 2008 are to continue flushing out the Kinema related commands for Digital Cinema post production and to look into what can be done to improve through put. When editing and color correcting a 4K+ Digital Intermediate with the early releases of DANCAD3D.EXE v3.7N the through put speed issue is such that at least several computers would probably be required to get all the frames for a feature film processed in any practical time period. The PCs used to cook the frame images do not need to have their own monitor, keyboard, and mouse, so you can have several computers hooked to a switch box, or something, so that you can set them up and let them work "batch style" for months on end, i.e. they do not need to be full systems just CPU boxes with TBs of hard drive space. Most people would be editing at 2K resolution, so the speed issue is not so big for them, but I do plan on looking into what I can do to overcome issues with speed and managing TB of image and audio frame files. Be sure to check the What's New section from time to time to see what new commands have been added and or what improvements have been made to the current commands in the programs.
Please do not attempt to order anything directly from me at this time. Any current order form would be in the current "On- Line" version of SECTION: 8. All order forms more that 30 days old should be considered out-of-date and not to be used. All order forms from older program versions from v1.0 through v2.6 are out-of-date and SHOULD NOT BE USED ANY LONGER.
Thank you for your interest in my projects, I hope you have fun "Beta Testing" them, and I wish you success in your own projects as well!
With the completion, some time ago, of the mailing out of what was probably the last formal paper edition of the Newsletter to the previously registered users, current users, like yourself, will probably no longer have a reason to send correspondence to me asking me about how you can get a copy of a paper Newsletter. Instead of requesting a paper Newsletter you should simply check this section of the "On-Line" version of "This Web Site" from time to time for any possible future Newsletters. See also the What's New sub-section of this Web site.
